Feay's Palafox

Endemic to the Florida peninsula.



Since this gets tall, plant it at the rear of a wildflower garden. Blooms in mid-fall with blooms concentrated at the tops of the stems.

Not salt tolerant of inundation by salty or brackish water.



Low/no tolerance of salty wind or direct salt spray

Scrub and scrubby flatwoods.

• Attracts  butterflies and moths 
• Types of  bees that have been observed visiting the flowers at the Archbold Biological Station (Deyrup and Deyrup 2015) include honey bees, bumble bees.plasterer bees, sweat bees, leafcutting bees, spider wasps, thread-waisted wasps, and vispid wasps.
