Tolerance

Not salt tolerant of inundation by salty or brackish water.



Low/no tolerance of salty wind or direct salt spray

Wildlife

The fruit is eaten by bobwhite, white-tailed deer,  rabbit and beaver

Habitat

Dry mesic deciduous forests, bluffs, hammocks, sinks, floodplains, creek swamps.
